Victoria Park has a fantastic mix of outdoor activities, places to eat and go out, all rolled into a unique village feel. There are good transport links to south and north London via the A12.
The area derives its name from the iconic Victoria Park, an 80 hectare green area with picturesque lakes, fountains, monuments, cafes and dedicated children’s play areas. There’s a wealth of delis, shops, boutiques, bars, pubs, restaurants and cafes located on Lauriston Road, also known as Victoria Park village.

There area a wealth of places to eat out in Victoria Park. Everything from fish and chips from Fish House, a Sunday lunch from the People’s Park Tavern, or a cracking pizza from the Lauriston pub just up the road.

If you’re after a coffee and a croissant during the summer, try the excellent Pavilion Cafe looking over the lake of Victoria Park, and then hire a boat and explore the surrounding area including Wonderland Ceramics where you can customise your own pottery.
Things To Do With The Kids
There are two dedicated play areas for children in the park itself. Alternatively the Royal Inn on the Park has been known to offer baby yoga classes. If they’re a bit older there’s the skatepark on the east side of the park as well as lots of places for a bike ride.
Victoria Park is well connected thanks to its envious position between a London Underground stop, overground train links into Liverpool Street and a dense bus network.
Trains
Victoria Park is connected to the overground rail network via London Fields and Hackney Central. London Fields provides access to Liverpool Street, and Hackney Central is on the East London Line, which connects it to Stratford and Highbury & Islington to the north.

Victoria Park is a few minutes bus ride away from Mile End Station, which has the Central, District and Hammersmith & City lines passing through it.
Buses
There are a good variety of buses that connect Victoria Park to the wider area including Bow, Tottenham Court Road, Highbury Corner, Learmouth, Leytonstone, Stratford and more.
